What inspired you to go abroad?

I wanted to explore living and working abroad, to try to be part of different cultures, meet different people, try different life experiences.

Why did you choose the “Teaching English in Prague” program?

I did not really know about Prague and had seen pictures on Facebook and thought, it looked beautiful, so I thought I would go there.

What was your favorite part about Prague?

I really love Charles Bridge, Letna Park and the Astronomical clock.

What made your experience abroad unique?

I met amazing people on my course whom I am still friends with and we are close. I met some nice people from all walks of life.

How did TEFL PRO Prague support you throughout your program?

The team helped me to get my permit to stay in Prague, helped with accommodation, helped me to travel to places. I then met recruitment agents, whom I worked alongside with. All the staff, teaching and non-teaching, were so friendly, warm, and kind, inspiring and welcoming.

Describe a typical day in the life of your program.

A typical day consisted of enjoying a pleasant tram ride to the school, Learning alongside very pleasant peers and very helpful and supportive teaching staff set in a warm and friendly environment.

What did you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my spare time I went to the gym, went to the park with my friends, completed lesson plans, I used to watch football and go on local day trips and boat trips too.

What was your accommodation like? What did you like best about it?

My accommodation was very nice, peaceful, pleasant and exceptionally comfortable. The landlord and landlady were very helpful and made me feel very welcome, which I really appreciate. What I liked the best was that the room was very spacious.

What is one thing every participant should know before participating in your program?

It is good to know about what phone and Internet package is good, the different banks, how the medical system works. It’s good to know about the cost of living and if the wage / salary will cover one there. It’s good to know a little bit about the culture, although in my opinion, I found the locals to be very friendly. Although, as it was around covid, it made some things more difficult than others, especially financially.

Now that you’re home, how has your time abroad impacted your life?

I do still miss Prague and will love to return back. I feel I have grown in confidence, I am more aware of my strengths and weaknesses and found more love for myself. I met so many nice people, in my social and professional life and everyone was always warm and supportive, this also includes the locals and other people from abroad too.

Would you recommend TEFL Pro Prague to others? Why?

I would most certainly recommend TEFL Pro Prague to others. All the staff are so patient, understanding, supportive, fun, kind and down to earth. It is one of the best things I have ever done and I hope I will be able to return back too.
